Asheville Drum Circle
A thumping rhythm is heard; a crowd gathers; drummers and percussionists of all kind play; it must be Friday night in Asheville, North Carolina. On every Friday evening, weather permitting, scores of drummers and hundreds of people gather at Pritchard Park to hear and experience the drums. Some listen, some dance, many join in. The crowd is colorful, engaging people of all ages, social status, race, religion, creed, and color. Hippies and businessmen join vacationers and locals.
